History
Founded in 1962 by Dave Plummer, Cypress Records has been Northeast Florida's Largest recording studio, serving talented musicians and artists, for over 40 years.
This local mastermind had several Country and Western Recordings on the charts in the mid-80's. Cypress Recording Studio is open to the public, offering industry standard 24-track digital capabilities as well as state of the art musical instant digital interface which synthesizes sound automatically.
A few of the onsite instruments available are the Kurzweil 2500w Sampler, Akai MPC 2000, Roland V-Drums, Ensoniq ASR-X, Korg Triton and more. With these and other equipment, the studio has the capacity to professionally record soundtracks for radio, television, and film. Staff musicians are available if needed.
Many different genres of music have been recorded at Cypress, including Rock, Pop, Jazz, Country, Hip-Hop, R & B, and Rap. The studio did the voice-over of model Kim Alexis for the television program King of The Hill, via phone link to California. 95 South has recorded with Cypress, and more recently, Limp Bizkit got their start at Cypress as well.
